Meet the Physicians

Chaithra Nagar, M.D. (Family Practice)

Dr. Chaithra Nagar is board certified in Family and Community Medicine. She was born and raised in Bangalore, India where she completed her medical schooling at Bangalore University. She then immigrated to the U.S. after meeting her husband. She completed her internship at Carilion Health Systems in Roanoke, Virginia. She then finished her residency training at UC Davis Family and Community Medicine program in Sacramento and graduated in 2005.

Dr. Nagar was awarded a gold medal in ophthalmology during her medical school training. She volunteered to help rural schools in India with health exams and education involving a variety of disease conditions.

Having gained hands on experience in patient care in difficult community settings in various countries, she is looking forward to settling down in a preventative care practice in the Marin.

In addition to general care Dr. Nagar is interested in providing joint injections, infant circumcisions, and dermatological procedures such as lesion and mole removal. In the near future she will also be doing colposcopy procedures.

Her hobbies include travel, music, and painting.
