New Female Primary Care Physician joins Prima Medical Group’s Sonoma practice
SONOMA, C.A. October 15 - Prima Medical Group has hired a female, Family Medicine physician to practice in their Sonoma office with Brian Sebastian, M.D. Dr. Singh will be accepting new patients and will be starting on October 28th, 2009.
Dr. Singh is coming to Sonoma from her private practice in Palm Springs, California, where she had been practicing for the past 3 years. Her practice was dedicated to providing quality, personalized patient care. Her holistic approach to medicine enables her to build partnerships with her patients - together they develop personalized wellness plans including preventative medicine and screenings. She specializes in seniors, adults and teens.
Dr. Singh is a Family Practice, board certified osteopathic physician and surgeon. She grew up in India and immigrated with her family to Michigan where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2002. She completed her residency from Garden City hospital in conjunction with Michigan State University in 2006.
Dr. Singh is the latest physician to be recruited to the North Bay by Prima Medical Group, bringing the total number of new recruits to 14 physicians in 3.5 years. There are now 23 physicians in Prima Medical Group and six locations including San Rafael, Sausalito, Mill Valley (Pediatric office), Larkspur, Novato, and Sonoma Valley.

Founded in November of 2005 by Joel Criste, Chief Executive Officer of the Marin IPA (Individual Practice Association), and Dr. Joseph Habis, current Prima Medical Director and longtime Bay Area physician, as a response to Marin and Sonoma’s pressing need for primary care physicians.
