Seven Established OB/GYN physicians (Women’s Medical Associates) in Greenbrae join Prima Medical Group as of January 1, 2010.
MARIN COUNTY, C.A. December __ – Marin’s largest OB/GYN physician group, Women’s Medical Associates, has decided to join Prima Medical Group on January 1st, 2010. These physicians include K. Jennifer Voss, M.D., Stephen Bearg, M.D., Sylvia Flores, M.D. Nona Cunningham, M.D., Monica Lopez, M.D., Kristen Matsik, M.D. and Sally Boero, M.D.
Women’s Medical Associates (WMA) was founded in 1985 by doctors Edward Boyce, M.D. and Stephen Bearg, M.D. Dr. Boyce retired in 1995, but since that time WMA has grown to include 6 female board-certified physicians and a nurse practitioner. They are the largest obstetric and gynecology group in Marin. Women’s Medical Associates practice philosophy has always been to deliver excellent, consistent, quality care to their patients. They are a committed group of physicians that are proficient in high-risk obstetrics, menopausal issues, screening for breast cancer, treatment of abnormal pap smears and communicable diseases, open gynecologic and laparoscopic surgery including the DaVinci Robot, reproductive endocrinology, infertility, osteoporosis and urogynecology. In addition, they also offer bone density screening and diagnostic ultrasound in their office.

Prima was founded in November of 2005 by Joel Criste, Chief Executive Officer of the Marin IPA (Individual Practice Association), and Dr. Joseph Habis, current Prima Medical Director and longtime Bay Area physician, as a response to Marin’s pressing need for primary care physicians. Prima has brought 11 new primary care physicians to Marin and Sonoma, bringing the total number of physicians in Prima to thirty-six.
Prima Medical Group is a local, physician-owned and operated group of Internists, Pediatricians, Surgeons, Obstetricians, and Family Medicine physicians.
